Project Portfolio — Modern Rewrite

This portfolio exists to make project work easy to browse, share and revisit. The earlier version was built with SvelteKit and Tailwind, which made it quick to create, but also tied a small, mostly editorial site to a fast-moving framework and its surrounding tooling.

The rewrite keeps the valuable part of that approach—server-rendered pages on Cloudflare Workers—while reducing the moving pieces. It is built from TypeScript, Hono, HTML, CSS and a small amount of plain JavaScript. Each piece is visible in the codebase, straightforward to change and useful without a component library or client-side framework.

For a portfolio, that restraint is intentional. Content and presentation can evolve independently, while the site remains responsive, fast and simple to deploy at the edge. Search, theme switching and the few interactive details are small browser enhancements rather than a full application runtime.

The goal is not to reject frameworks categorically; they are often the right answer for complex products. Here, the goal is durable maintenance. By relying on stable web standards and a compact server layer, the portfolio should remain understandable and inexpensive to improve years from now, without a framework migration becoming a project in itself.
